Cybersecurity Experts Interview Series Recap
Reading time: 4 minutesToday we are recapping our interview series we started back in February, and all the great people we've had the chance to talk to.
First off, hello everyone! I'm Sara from SecurityTrails. A couple of months ago, I started this series of interviews with entrepreneurs from the cybersecurity and infosec industries whom have developed products we all love and use, so they could let us in on their secrets.
The industry is rapidly growing and the threats of future cyber attacks are growing with it. Often, it is easy to get stuck in the technical parts of our jobs and the industry and forget the humans in it. I wanted to bring the human aspect back to it.
I began this project wanting to talk to the people of cybersecurity. I wanted to share how they have made their way into the industry, what mindset is needed to create and grow a product, how their choice of where to live has influenced their career, and all the little things they got over to make it in this ever-growing field.
I've enjoyed working on and creating this series of interviews, as I was also here to learn. I was here to meet the people that have made an impact and are eager to share their stories, so other people can also find value in them and learn something new. Each interview had a different focus in mind, as every story had a different objective. Each of these people had their own unique story and lessons to be gleaned from it.
Finding a good balance between asking people how many servers they use, and if they play any musical instruments was a challenge, but I think the goal was hit. Everyone was more than happy to talk about their lives outside of work, as much as they were happy to talk about the language they used to build their product.
We talked with people from all over the world: USA, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, and we don't plan on stopping there. Here's a recap of our awesome interviews so far:
A big thank you to everyone that worked with me on this series, to everyone that selflessly shared their knowledge and experience with all of us! You guys rock.
If you've enjoyed our series so far, don't worry, this is just the beginning! We are looking into more perspectives to share and more security startups to interview, so if you have someone you would like to see featured in our interview series, please reach out to me at: [email protected]
